Presenter: Jeff Davis, CTI
Bio: Jeff has a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from Georgia Tech, and he is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 14 years’ experience as a consultant to the industry. As a member of the National Fire Protection Association, he is a member on the committees for NFPA 61: Standard for Dust Fire and Explosion Prevention in the Agricultural and Food Processing Industries and NFPA 664: Standard for the Prevention of Fires and Explosions in Wood Processing and Woodworking Facilities. A broad scope of his credentials include: combustible dust hazard evaluations, fire and explosion protection design, compliance audits under OSHA’s PSM and EPA’s RMP standards, process hazard analysis (PHA) preparation, and industrial air permits.

Presenter: Bruce McLelland, Fike
Bio: Bruce McLelland is the Business Development Director, Explosion Protection for Fike Corporation in Blue Springs, MO. With over 45 years in the life and property protection industry his experience includes being a former Committee Member of the NFPA 68 Venting of Deflagrations and NFPA 69 Explosion Protection Systems. Bruce has been named as inventor / co-inventor on 5 patents pertaining to explosion protection solutions and is a current member of National Fire Protection Association and The National Society of Fire Protection Engineers. Bruce is NICET IV Certified in Special Hazards technologies and currently serves on NFPA 652, NFPA654, NFPA664, NFPA 61 as principle committee member.
Dust Hazards for Storage Systems Design Criteria & NFPA Influence
Presenter: Keith McGuire, CST Industries, Inc.
Bio: Keith McGuire is the Structural Engineering Director for CST Industries, specializing in the design and fabrication of bolted and welded storage tanks, silos, support structures, aluminum domes, architectural covers, and accessories for a wide variety of liquid and bulk solids applications. Mr. McGuire is active in numerous standards committees including API, AWWA, ASME, and NFPA. A Professional Engineer licensed in five states, he has worked in the CST Engineering Department since 1977 upon graduating from Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor of Science in Technology degree specializing in structural, mechanical, and civil engineering.
